Exploration, Excitement, Experience.    They are what the Blue Region Scuba and PADI Advanced Open Water Course is about.  And no, you don’t have to be “Advanced” to take it – as it is designed so you can go straight into it after the Blue Region Scuba’s Padi Open Water Course.  The Advanced Open Water Course helps you increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you will be more confident in the water.  This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under your Professional Blue Region Scuba Instructor.  This course builds on what you have learned and develops new capabilities by introducing you to new activities and enjoyable ways to increase your FUN factor!

You will hone your diving skills by completing five Blue Region Scuba Adventure Dives that will introduce you to:


  • Underwater Navigation
  • Deep Diving (60 to 100 feet sea water)
  • Peak Performance Buoyancy
  • Boat Diving
  • Search & Recovery or Wreck Dive

There are 5 Adventure Dives that is required for completion of this course.

Get credit!  Each Blue Region Scuba Adventure Dive will count towards the first dive of the corresponding Blue Region Scuba and PADI Specialty Diver Course.

To take this course you must be a PADI Open Water Diver (or a qualifying certification from a recognized training agency) and be 15 years old or adult or 12 for Advanced Junior Diver.


What you will learn:

· Practical aspects of deeper diving

· Physiological effects of deeper scuba diving

· More ways to use your underwater compass

· How better to use your dive computer and ERDPML

· How to perfect your buoyancy

· Etiquette and safety on a commercial dive boat operation

· Ways to explore the North Carolina Wrecks safely to see more and enjoy the rich history of the “Graveyard of the Atlantic”.
