Blue Region Scuba and PADI Rescue Diver Course


“Challenging” and “Rewarding” best describes the Blue Region Scuba Rescue Diver Course.  Building on the skills you have already learned, this course expands on what you already know about how to prevent problems, and how to manage them if they occur.

Get College Credit

You may be able to earn College Credit for the Padi Rescue Diver Course.

What you will learn:

  • Self Rescue
  • Recognizing and managing stress in other divers
  • Emergency Management and equipment
  • Rescuing panic divers
  • Rescuing unresponsive divers

This course will be held over a 2 day weekend which will include 10 in-water excercises and 2 rescue scenarios.

 

The Learning Materials you will need:

The Blue Region Scuba Rescue Diver Crewpak includes all the materials required to complete the PADI Rescue Diver Course.  You will learn to think like a rescue diver and preview skills you will learn from your Professional Blue Region Scuba Instructor.  Once your Rescue Diver Course is complete you can refresh anytime with another Blue Region Scuba Rescue Diver course.  Your Rescue Diver toolbox of knowledge and technique will give you the expertise to handle almost any emergency situation.

Prerequisites:

 

  • Be 12 years or older
  • Have a PADI Adventure Diver certification with Underwater Navigation dive (or have a qualifying certification from another recognized organization)
  • Be trained in the Blue Region Scuba and PADI First Response First Aid/ CPR course within the past 2 years or qualifying agency.  Most generally you will want to take the First Responser Course with the Rescue Diver Course as it will raise your skills to a higher level.
