Digital Underwater PhotographerPhoto IconUnderwater photography is one of the most popular diving specialties, and the rise of digital underwater photography has made it easier and more fun than ever.  The PADI Digital Underwater Photographer course gets you going quickly with today modern digital equipment, whether you use a point-and-shoot snap camera or a sophisticated D-SLR like the pros. Learn from a published photographer the skills that will make your snapshots turn into works of art that you will be proud to hang on your living room walls.  The PhotoPro at Blue Region Scuba will short cut your learning curve with techniques learned over years of underwater photography.  You will learn in minutes skills and tricks that has taken years to perfect.

This specialty can be used as one of five Specialty certifications required for your Master Scuba Diver certification.

What Is Involved?

As part of your PADI Digital Underwater Photographer course, you'll learn about:

  • How to choose the right underwater camera system for you
  • The PADI SEA method for getting great shots quickly
  • The three primary principles for good underwater photos
  • Beginning digital image processing and work flow

Who Can Learn?

  • At least ten years old.
  • Certified to the (Jr.) Open Water Diver level or equivalent.
  • If taken as a snorkeler, no certification is needed.

Course Fee is $139.  Course includes use of the U/W Digital camera and instructional fees.  Not included:  PADI Digital Underwater Photographer Crew Pack, rental equipment, and boat or park entry fees.

When Can I Start?

 IMMEDIATELY  All you have to do is come in the store and get signed up and get your materials.  The self learning techniques of the book is enhanced by a DVD.  Then, we will have the class to carry your education and skills further.  OR  You can start immediately on-line by clicking the icon below!
